D&D Next: Lords of Waterdeep?
Wand of Anaximander
It is 40 centimeters long and approximately 13 millimeters in diameter at the base, tapering to 7 millimeters at the fore. The wand is a marvel of miniature bronze clockwork which often glows, especially when in use, with an inner light that varies from an eerie, bright chartreuse to a sinister, rich Phthalo green. Flames and lights brought to life by Kurufinwë are often these colors instead of natural reds and oranges. The gears and rods hum, churn, and begin acting when the wand is wielded, but otherwise remain silent. A few of them shine with the preciousness of gold among the bronze. In Nimbral, there are a few legends surrounding the wand, and a lot more about the long dead Anaximander, but so far it seems to function simply as an implement.
