Espruar Tel'Quessir

This is an advanced Elvish language primer. The title loosely translates to “the language of the people”, but is grammatically incorrect, which anyone who studies the text and learns Elvish would know. The treatise is very complete, and even contains some information on Hamarfae in the appendixes. Study of the appendixes is very difficult and requires the reader to already be fluent in Elvish, but grants a rudimentary understanding of Hamarfae and Seldruin; the script used for Elven High Magic would be recognizable as such, but still untranslatable.

Espruar Tel’Quessir grants a DC20 Lore ability check to subjects regarding the Elvish language. It grants a DC of 8 to 12 to Lore checks that involve Elven High Magic, the book doesn’t give the reader much knowledge of Elven High Magic, mainly just the ability to recognize the script.

The incorrect title is due to a mistranslation by a human scribe who lacked fluency in Elvish, but copied the work from earlier sources. The body of the work was later edited by adding material from the abundant literature the moon elves left on Nimbral and major corrections were made throughout the book.
